Time Savers

We'd like to be as efficient as possible when we carry out services for you, so we've put together a list of things you can do in preparation for your visit. This will enable us to work faster resulting in less time spent at your premises.

1. Have broadband/dial-up usernames & passwords (& telephone number for dial-up) internet accounts ready.
   
   
2. Have Windows Logon account passwords ready (or remove them!).
   
   
3. Have any/all computer software CDs ready, eg. Recovery CD, Windows CD (XP, Vista), Microsoft Office CD + any license keys.
   
   
4. Backup your important data (which you should be doing on a regular basis anyway!).
   
   
5. Make a list of all issues for the Techie (he/she may be able to fix a number of issues concurrently).
   
   
6. Write down any error messages (as precisely as possible) that have been appearing on your screen.

We may not necessarily need all of the above, but it's better to have it to hand just in case it's needed, as the engineer's entire time on site has to be charged.
